REESE WITHERSPOON knows that wisdom comes with age.  The Oscar-winning actress, who got married for the second time last month when she tied the knot with JIM TOTH, said she was too young to get hitched when she and first husband RYAN PHILLIPPE said their "I dos."

Witherspoon, who was 24 when she and Phillippe married, tells Britain's Elle magazine, "I was so, so young.  I was, like, ridiculously young.  I learned a lot, though.  It was an excellent opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage and it’s not anything that I thought it was."

Getting married again was a thrill for Witherspoon.  She said, "It's an exciting feeling.  [Somebody saying], 'You're the one.'  And it's a surprise.  You know, I'm surprised when people who aren't related to me see my movies.  And you're surprised somebody wants to be with you because, boy, I've got a lot of quirks and wrinkles."

While Witherspoon sounds surprised Toth wants to marry her, she's also surprised people think she lives a glamorous life.  She said, "There’s this fallacy that we can have it all.  I get it often, 'Oh, you have it all' -- and I don't...there are times I go to work and I feel sick because I can't see my kids for five days.  And it's real hard to go.  Work is important to me.  The kids are important to me.  My relationship's important to me.  But all three can't be functioning at 100 percent at all times." Just because our parent's got married at 24, or younger, doesn't mean that it's a good idea for people these days.  Some of them back then had some strange reasons, like getting out of their parents house, abuse, and other things that they don't even mention.  So wait, and learn from others mistakes I say.  DP
