Rihanna's video for "Man Down" premiered on BET Tuesday. The Parents Television Council says it is "an inexcusable, shock-only, shoot-and-kill theme song" that makes "retaliation in the form of premeditated murder" acceptable.

But Rihanna says it's "a song about a girl who has committed a murder that she regrets and is completely remorseful about." Rihanna says yes, she's been abused in the past, but you don't see her running around killing people in her spare time. She just hopes the message of the song and the video will empower girls who are being abused. She also says she didn't intend to make a controversial video….BULLCRAP!!

She absolutely wanted to create some controversy, and she has definitely done that. The PTC wants the video off the air but BET says it will continue to show it.
