According to KTRE a peacock that has been loudly announcing his presence in Brookhollow was finally apprehended today.

After three days, Lufkin animal control officers have captured a peacock wandering the woods and streets of the Brookhollow subdivision.

Officer Paula Taylor said they caught the bird on a corner patio at a home. The peacock was taken into custody but without incident.

Taylor said they will keep the peacock quarantined for 10 days and if nobody claims him, they will send it to an animal sanctuary.

There are lots of peacocks at the Ellen Trout Zoo. Check out this video of one scaring this baby! Guess they are scarier than we thought!
