The Piney Woods Purgatory was just last week and I had the honor of being there at the starting line. Did you partake in the ride? Can you spot yourself in any of these photos? While I was there, lots of the riders wanted pictures of the start, so I obliged.

It was a perfect day for a ride, and this was as always a well organized and safe event for all of the riders.  This was all thanks to Lufkin Fire, Police, Sheriff, Constables and all the people that make the ride work. Without the volunteers, rest stops and of course the sponsors this would not have been possible.

Everyone came together to make it a ride to remember. It was great seeing all of the posts from the riders that they loved the challenge of all the hills, and the amazing rest stops. Also the protection at large intersections by some of the fore mentioned police and sheriff departments over a three county area. There is some room for improvement, as it seems some of our four legged friends greeted some of the riders with enthusiasm!

Do you have your own pictures from further down the route? Send them our way so we can include them in this gallery.
