The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards are going to be one star-studded event. In addition to No Doubt, Taylor Swift and Muse, the network has confirmed that nominees Carly Rae Jepsen, Rita Ora and fun. will be performing as well.

'Call Me Maybe' was the biggest song of the summer of 2012, and singer Carly Rae Jepsen isn't backing down on the frothy, saccharine pop anthems while the weather changes and gets cooler. The song 'This Kiss' from her new album 'Kiss,' out Sept. 18, has been unveiled online, and it's as sweet and as cavity-causing as 'Call Me Maybe.'

As we reported last week, Carly Rae Jepsen was recently spotted out and about with boyfriend and fellow musician Matthew Koma. Well, turns out that’s not the man who inspired her mega hit ‘Call Me Maybe.’ Jepsen dumped the ‘CMM’ boyfriend because she got too busy. Say what?! Someone’s treading into some dangerous Taylor Swift territory here.

Throughout the night, 2012 Teen Choice Awards hosts Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale (that dude that plays Artie on ‘Glee‘) teased the audience, mentioning that viewers were asked to submit videos of them singing along to Carly Rae Jepsen‘s hit song ‘Call Me Maybe.’
