The various renewals and cancellations from major networks haven’t strayed too far outside expectation, but it’s always odd of established series to face an abrupt end. So it is, that we eulogize CBS’ 2 Broke Girls, which endured an impressive six seasons, but won’t return for a seventh.

It looks like Tony Romo will be taking a leap from the NFL to the CBS lily pad.

Well, they weren’t going to have a Young Sheldon without at least giving the old Sheldon a proper sendoff. The Big Bang Theory is officially confirmed for a whopping forty-eight more episodes with a two-season renewal, but will it be their last?

The Big Bang Theory is certainly up there in its twilight years, but the TV world will not be bereft of “Bazinga!” for long. Prequel spinoff series Young Sheldon is officially coming to CBS, with none other than Jon Favreau attached to direct.

It’s remained an open question at CBS whether the current tenth season of The Big Bang Theory might prove the last, rounding out contracts of its leads, and potentially launching a spinoff. No longer, it seems as a two-season renewal is likely imminent with fresh pay raises for the core cast.

There’s good news and bad on the front of CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery, which is starting to sound like an old refrain. And speaking of frains, James Frain has been added to the cast in the role of Spock’s father Sarek, albeit at the cost of an official May premiere. So, when should we expect the series?
