Do you have talent? Show off your skills at the East Texas Got Talent Competition at the 28th Annual Texas State Forest Festival!

Finalists will be selected to compete on Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. in front of a live audience.

First place winner will receive $500, second place winner will receive $250 and third place winner will receive $100.
Deadline to apply is Monday, September 17.

Every four years, I get Olympic fever because I'm SO EXCITED for the Summer Olympic Games to start!

Starting on July 27th, I'll be glued to my computer screen (and television screen, when I can) until August 12th, catching up on the latest news and results from the Games.

With an expectation of 205 nations participating in 300 events, the Games of the XXX Olympiad are surely going to be amazing and very entertaining!

I heard Kidd Kraddick talking about this story this morning on my way to work, and my heart hurt for the woman they were talking about.

After watching this video, I am infuriated by the kids' actions and in total shock that our youth can be so hurtful and ruthless. When I was younger, my friends and I respected adults because they were the authority figure. Now, kids don't think the rules apply to them, and they're not afraid of adults. I blame this on the parents and their parenting skills.
