The Dictator is already in theaters. So far the reviews are mixed. The website Rotten Tomatoes so far has a 68% positive reviews. From the trailer, I think it's going to be fun. Perhaps not funny, but fun. This is the third weekend of the summer blockbusters, it started with 'The Avengers' and will hit a crescendo with 'MIB 3' coming soon.
Poor Barnabas Collins never stood a chance. Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows‘ found itself clobbered to death over the weekend courtesy of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, who rode a perfect cocktail of hype and stellar word-of-mouth to an unprecedented second weekend. It’s no longer a question of whether or not ‘The Avengers‘ will be one of the biggest movies of all time, mainly because it already is one of the biggest movies of all time: after only nineteen days, it’s crossed the $1 billion mark. The question we should be pondering now is whether or not it will become the biggest movie of all time.
There are a couple of new movies in theaters this weekend, though I'm not really sure why the studios bothered. We all know Avengers is going to make all of the money. ALL OF IT. Your other options for just-released-flicks are LOL with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with Maggie Smith and Judy Dench. And of course there's still The Five-Year Engagement with Jason Segal and Emily Blunt from last weekend. Trailers after the jump!
The juggernaut known as ‘The Hunger Games’ shows no signs of slowing down — it sold another $33.5 million in tickets to take the top spot at the box office for the third weekend in a row.
There are a lot of new movies coming to theaters in the next few months and this summer that look amazing!

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the world who hasn't seen this movie yet, or read the books.
'The Hunger Games' does look pretty good though, and I've only heard positive things about the movie so far! My friends and movie critics have also raved about how well it follows the book's storyline - which is always a plus for me. Critics are estimating the film will make over $100 million on opening weekend!
Forget voicing the role of Smurfette in ‘The Smurfs’ movie, like she did last year. Colorful pop starlet Katy Perry will star in her own damn movie of the 3D sort, a la Justin Bieber. Why? Because KP in two dimensions just isn’t enough.
Lady Gaga is reportedly set to make her film debut in the forthcoming ‘Men In Black’ sequel. While one might expect such news to come via a tweet from Gaga herself, word spread like wildfire on the web after franchise star Will Smith accidentally spilled the beans to a Brazilian website during a promotional trip to Rio last week.
The American Film Institute created a list of the 100 most romantic movies ever made. Because their list spans a good 7 or 8 decades, and doesn’t go past the ’90s, it doesn’t include a lot of our favorites. The movies that shaped our ideas of romance.
