Though it almost looks like some sort of epic movie trailer, it's actually the new promo for the highly-anticipated singing show 'The X Factor'.

Now that American Idol is pretty much over, America will need another show to get obsessed with. This one will air on FOX sometime this fall - with the return of the incredible duo, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the girl group 'The Pussycat Dolls', will be co-hosting the show along with Welsh model/TV presenter Steve Jones.

Though negotiations reportedly went down to the wire, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul stepped out in full force Sunday for the first round of 'X Factor' auditions in Los Angeles.

"This show would never have been the same without Paula and I can't believe I am saying this - I have missed her a lot, and I am thrilled she's on the show," Cowell said in a statement, confirming a deal with his former 'American Idol' cohort had been reached.

In an exclusive interview with Deadline's Nikki Finke, former 'American Idol' judge Simon Cowell revealed he wants Paula Abdul to join the judges' table on his upcoming reality series 'The X Factor.'

"I've always wanted Paula. Always been very vocal about that. I missed her the second she left the show," he said. "Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain. And I've been consistent about this. I don’t know what it is about her, but I've always clicked with her."
