Second Earthquake in one Week Rattles Parts of East Texas

Looks like there must be a fault line somewhere near Timpson, TX. The second earthquake in a week shook the area, centered in Timpson but felt as far north as Shreveport and as far south as Lufkin according to the National Geological Society. The 4.3 magnitude earthquake started this morning at 3:12 a.m.

Unlike the last quake in the area this one caused more damage and was almost a full point higher on the scale.

3.7 Magnitude Earthquake Felt By Listeners In Nacogdoches, Panola and Shelby County

Listeners in Shelby and Nacogdoches County started calling the station around 10:11am this morning. Apparently there was a 3.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the southwest side of Timpson. Earthquakes are a very rare thing in East Texas and the first thing that I thought of was fracking, looks like others are having the same thoughts, but it could very well just be a random incident.
