An enormous tornado with a debris cloud two miles wide tore through the metropolitan area just south of Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon.

UPDATE 9:28 p.m. EST: At least 51 people were killed in the storm, including seven children from Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, according to KFOR in Oklahoma City. The news station reported that 75 student and staff were inside the school when the storm struck. Officials said Monday night that the search of the rubble remaining of the school had turned to a recovery mission.

UPDATE 8:33 p.m. EST: At least 37 people have been killed in the storm, according to the local medical examiner. The two-mile wide twister, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials. Crews are continuing to search an area of 30 square miles for victims of the powerful storm.

UPDATE 7:49 p.m. EST: ABC News reports that at least 10 people have been killed in the storm in Moore, Okla. today.

UPDATE 7:04 p.m. EST: The AP reports that several children were pulled alive from the wreckage at Plaza Towers Elementary School, in Moore.

UPDATE 6:05 p.m. EST: CNN affiliate KFOR is reporting that people are pulling children out from the rubble of an elementary school in Moore. There is no official word yet on the condition of the children.

The town of Moore suffered tremendous damage as the twister gradually moved east, but it never did reach the downtown area of Oklahoma’s capital city. The National Weather Service had issued a tornado emergency warning for the region, a rarity for such a highly populated area. Schools, houses, businesses and many, many more buildings have been utterly devastated.

The tornado may also have touched down in or near the town of Newcastle, which is where many people who had been evacuated due to Sunday’s storms were sheltered.

In total, more than 171,000 people may have been in the path of the tornado, according to CNN.

The clip features Jessie singing with no musical accompaniment, but her vocals sound absolutely flawless with no frills added. Not being able to truly hear what the song will sound like is just adding to the mystery surrounding her second, still untitled, studio album.

She sings, “Oh it feels so crazy when you scream my name / Love it when you rock me over every day / When I think about it I could go insane / Here we are it’s beautiful / I’m blown away.” Sounds to us like we have a go-hard club song that’s coming straight for us!

Just when you thought comedian Patton Oswalt’s viral hit rant from ‘Parks and Recreation‘ couldn’t get any better, along comes an animated version of quite possibly the greatest movie pitch of all time.

Last month, the comic made a hysterical appearance on NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation,’ in which he played an angry local citizen holding up a town meeting. In the ultimate filibuster, Oswalt’s character went on an eight-minute, improvised diatribe about what the plot of the next ‘Star Wars’ movie should be. The bit set the World Wide Web ablaze. Now, one intrepid fan has taken it a step further by staging the whole thing in animation.

With word of J.J. Abrams taking on the newest ‘Star Wars’ franchise, it seems inevitable that fans have their own ideas of what the plot should be. However, it looks as if Oswalt might have them all beat.

Last time we checked in on Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil, she had released a rap song, ‘It’s Tan Mom,’ to which the ‘Chelsea Lately’ staff couldn’t help but bust a move.

Now the full song is out, and it’s worse than you thought.

In the 3-minute video, Krentcil dances around in a leopard print dress (the flames of hell flickering behind her) and, unfortunately, a bikini and wig, slurring lyrics like: “Where do you want / I’ll give you a treat / To see my goodies brown / I wanna get get get get my tan on.” 

In between autotuned choruses about being outside birdwatching in lieu of in a tanning booth, she claims she’s “sexier than the teen mom” (presumably Farrah Abraham) and “hotter than the Octomom.”

At one point she’s also in a bedroom being groped with multiple crosses affixed to the wall behind her, and towards the end of the video, an unidentified male pops up behind a podium and says, “Don’t judge me, don’t make a deal. Don’t make a deal because I am saying it to you. I’m saying it to you. Let it be the way it is.” 

We have no idea who he is or what he’s talking about, but he is in Tan Mom’s music video. (Sorry, dude. Consider yourself judged.)

Thankfully, some merciful soul took pity on the masses and decided not to release this thing in high definition — a move worthy of a ticker tape parade.

Anchorman is one of my favorite movies, and now nine years later we are finally going to get a sequel!  The gang is back and better than ever, and with this kind of star power it must have been a very expensive movie to remake.  The main actors all command huge salaries to do movies now days.  From the trailer it’s hard to tell if Christina Applegate will be back, but I am sure she will be in some capacity.  But I can tell that it’s going to be my second favorite movie.

If you’re a fan of comedy you’ve surely found yourself inundated with commercials and promotions for YouTube’s Comedy Week. Well, the wait is over because it’s finally arrived.

Simply put, YouTube Comedy Week will be just that: a week filled with videos of sketches, stand up, improv and music, all in celebration of the comedic arts. Many of which will be live-streamed and will star some of the biggest names in the industry today. The week-long “festival” kicked off with ‘The Big Live Comedy Show,’ an event that included names such as:

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were the talk of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. Everything from the seating chart to their backstage kiss was (and still is) being discussed.

A photo and GIF of Sel planting a smooch on her ex’s cheek has surfaced all over the web, with their mutual pal Taylor Swift appearing grossed out by the display of affection.

Check out Swift sticking her tongue out and grimacing in the photo and the GIF. She is not feeling any sort of reunion. She probably wants to draft Gomez as member of her Lonely Girls Club.

The smooch is very sweet and friendly. It doesn’t seem to be passionate or indicate a reunion, but it is a gesture of affection between two people who were once very much in love. Check out Sel’s hand on Biebs’ neck.

Also, there were plenty of rumors about the seating chart and it was indicated that the former couple would be seated next to one another, but that didn’t seem to be the case.

However, mid-ceremony it appears that The Biebs made his way over to Sel and sat next to her. Keep in mind she was with Swift and Ed Sheeran, both friends of The Biebs.

Justin Bieber was about to have a moment at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last night (May 19) when he accepted the impressive Milestone Award at the tender age of 19 — but his acceptance of the coveted honor was marred by a chorus of boos and screams, the latter from his dedicated corps of Beliebers.

Despite the outpuring of Belieber love, the vocal haters clearly knocked the normally confident and cocky teen off his game, as evidenced by his disjointed and responsorial speech. “I’m 19 years old,” he said, as if that were some sort of justification. “I think I’m doing a pretty good job.”

No question there — but we weren’t the ones needing convincing. It sounded like the Biebs himself was on shaky ground.

“From my heart, I really just want to say, it should be about the music, the craft that I’m making,” he declared from behind a pair of sunglasses. “This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist, and I should be taken seriously.”

When you have to tell people you’re an artist and demand to be taken seriously, you know you have a real image problem. (Cue the late-night parodies.)

After that “moment,” Biebs got to the thank yous: his “manager Scooter Braun, my family, my mom, Jesus Christ,” He also thanked fans and his siblings.

For his part, awards host Tracy Morgan tried to put the haters in their place, scolding, “Don’t be booin’ nobody up in here. This ain’t the Apollo!”

I was so busy watching Downfall Rising rock in this video, I got behind on letting you guys know what is going on today.  They will be at East Texas Summerfest! It’s going on today in downtown Lufkin.  The Battle of the Bands is where all the action starts at 11am.  Gates Open at 10am.  There are lots of local bands participating, most of them local…and some of them heavy rock.  So if your like me and like to stomp to some metal occasionally it’s going to be a throw down. Here is the schedule of bands. You will be able to vote for your favorite bands with QR codes, thanks to Verizon.  Bookshire Brothers is also a major sponsor of the event we would like to thank!  Tickets are just $15 at the gate.

Dirty Black Lungs (11 a.m.)

This all-acoustic three-piece band from Lufkin performs earnest indie rock with a folk flavor, in the vein of Elliot Smith or Bright Eyes.

The Back 40 Band(Noon)

This six-piece group from the Bald Hill area delivers solid outlaw country with a heavy dose of Southern Rock sound.

Waiting For One (1 p.m.)

This all-acoustic three-piece from the Dallas/Fort Worth area performs originals, mixing classic rock, blues and outlaw country with plenty of vocal harmonies.

Redleter (2 p.m.)

This four-piece group from Palestine plays Christian music, but there’s no chance you’ll confuse their heavy, Metallica-influenced metal sound for grandma’s gospel hymns.

Cherokee Outlaws (3 p.m.)

Four seasoned musicians from Alto perform original songs that borrow elements from Texas Country, Old Country and Southern Rock.

Kindred (4 p.m.)

This Nacogdoches five-piece band plays Christian rock with a polished alternative sound, led by the expressive interplay between the lead guitar and the female lead singer.

Downfall Rising (5 p.m.)

Led by a powerful female vocalist, this modern rock five-piece from Lufkin recently teamed up with a Grammy-winning producer to released their first EP.

Green Light Pistol (6 p.m.)

This alternative/folk six-piece from Burleson features the harmonies of five siblings and delivers authentic roots music with a catchy pop flair.

“I think it’s an array of all kinds of genres of music, everything from Southern Rock to Country and everything in between,” said Tara Watson-Watkins, executive director of the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Each band will get to play a 30-minute set. I think it’s going to be really entertaining and a great way to showcase not only our local talent, but our area-wide talent.”

After “Live From Lufkin,” Son of a Sailor, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, will perform as the headline act from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Selena Gomez may have reiterated that she is still single, despite this photo. But what she says is a stark contrast to what she does. The singer and her on-off ex — and really, these two are more up and down that ChRihanna – were spotted clubbing in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 14.

Jelena were seen doing it up at Supperclub. A source told E! that the twosome entered the establishment at 11:30PM (a late night!) with security detail. They used a private back entrance since anything less would be uncivilized.

The witness said that Sel wore a “sexy club dress” (whatevs that means) while The Biebs rocked his standard issue uniform of a t-shirt, a chain and high-tops. Tay James, a DJ and Bieber bro, was celebrating his birthday, and Jelena were enjoying the festivities, holding hands and dancing.

The couple split after chatting with the club manager. They exited in the same manner in which they arrived at around 12:15AM. Maybe they wanted some alone time, since it was not a long hang sesh up in da club.

They have a magnetic forcefield between ‘em. They can’t pry themselves apart, despite their own best efforts.

Oh wait, we forget. Sel keeps telling us she is single. Mmm hmm. Maybe she is making her man come and get it? Zing.

Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj will be going back to high school on Sunday night, May 19, when the YMCMB duo performs together at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

While we adore Weezy and her Minajesty, let’s hope they don’t sex it up like they do in the video for the song. They are too much like bro and sis to envision them getting it on. While they sound right together, all that bumping and grind feels… wrong.

Good thing Christina Aguilera is coming back to ‘The Voice‘ next season, because the panel will be down one pint-sized, fiery blond superstar. Shakira confirmed that she won’t be returning for the NBC hit’s fifth season.

“I’m not going to be able to do next season because I have to get back to my motherhood and also get back to the studio, the recording studio, to finish my album, the one that I started working on before I had to deliver a baby and before I took this gig with ‘The Voice,’” Shakira told Us Weekly. “So yeah, I have to take a little break. But you never know, I might come back!”

She went on to TODAY.com (via Gossip Center) to say of her son, Milan, “He deserves a break, and that’s why I’m going to take a break for next season.”

So that makes three out of four of the original judges signed on for Season 5. What about Cee Lo Green? Carson Daly said he’s in talks to return as well, but nothing’s finalized yet.

“I don’t know. I think they are working on a deal to be honest with you, and I don’t think it has been finalized,” Daly revealed. “I don’t know the answer to that. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was, sooner or later. It sounded like today it was like, ‘Yeah, they are working on it,’ which, usually those things work out, but I don’t know.”

Trouble in paradise — if you can describe their relationship like that — for Kimye. The latest rumor is that that Kanye West and baby mama Kim Kardashian will break up before their baby is born in early summer. Gasp! Oh, the humanity.

A friend of the reality show star expressed concerns that the couple won’t last and will have parted ways by the time their bundle o’ joy arrives.

“We just do not understand why she is traveling to Paris to see him, she is the pregnant one,” the worried friend said. “Kanye will fly in to see the editors of ‘Vogue,’ but he won’t fly in to see the lady carrying his child.”

That’s a contrast to recent reports that he flies in for her doctor’s visits via private jet. Still, they should be together during the gestation, shouldn’t they?

The source also said, “The only way they have a future is if Kim continues to do whatever he says.”

Sounds like a modern update on that whole “barefoot and pregnant” concept. ‘Ye’s being all ‘Heartless.’

Pals think Yeezy is being selfish by recording his new album abroad while Kimmy is babied up. He also reportedly blamed her for smashing his forehead into a street sign.

“He told her that she should have guided him out of the way,” another friend said. “He treats her like his assistant. She is putting up with it at the moment but eventually she will say enough!”

Hmm, drama, drama, drama with his baby mama.

At least we can congratulate Kim for maintaining this relationship for more than 72 days, which was the length of her last marriage.

Somewhere, Ray J. is having a chuckle, since, you know, he hit it first.

Rap diva Nicki Minaj is one and done.

Sources close to the production claim that the controversial star will exit ‘American Idol‘ after Season 12 wraps tomorrow (May 16). She served on the judge’s panel for a season, famously clashing with Mariah Carey, who also sat on the panel for her first year.

With original judge Randy Jackson revealing that he is definitely bouncing, it’s rumored that Carey and Keith Urban, also a neophyte, will be moving on, too. They’ve not announced their future plans yet, since the Season 12 finale is this week. However, it’s pretty much a done deal for her Minajestry.

“It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to ‘Idol,’” a source told Us, stating that the wig-loving vixen will instead be focusing on her next album, touring and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway,” the insider further stated.

That’s a contrast to her recent comments, claiming she was happy with the gig. Still, the season is experiencing record lows when it come to ratings, which indicates to producers that a shake up is required.

Where’s there’s smoke, there’s flame and here, it seems like a new ‘Idol’ look is on deck for Season 13 in 2014.
