This is never before seen footage of what happens when a mosquito bites you.   It is said they can zoom in even further and watch the blood cells go up the tube.  The tip can almost bend at right angles, and probes between this mouse’s cells to find what it's looking for. This allows the mosquito to search a large area without having to withdraw its mouthparts and start over.

There are four "mouthparts" in all.  The tube you see on the end of a mosquito under a magnifying glass is just the outside, and that part never actually goes inside of you.  Very interesting stuff.   Now I just wish that mosquito's sucked fat instead of blood.
