Which Texas Roads are Closed Due to Flooding

Record setting rainfall amounts have made numerous roads in north central and northeast Texas impassable.  Many Lufkin football fans traveling on Friday night found out the hard way that Interstate 45 and other surrounding roads had been shut down.  

Some of the highways remain barricaded at this hour and many more roads across Texas may be added to that list if the forecast holds true for the Eastern third of Texas.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) offers a map through their Drive Texas platform that allows to get the latest look at flooded roads statewide.  For the most part, this includes farm to market roads, state highways, and interstates.  This map can be a big help when you're putting travel plans together.
