Flood waters have receded in Deweyville, and left behind over $12 million dollars in damages. Our neighbors to the south could really use our help, and our local Knights Of Columbus and American Red Cross are asking for your help. The American Red Cross will be collecting items in Lufkin at their 504 West Frank Street location daily from 9am - 3pm and this Friday, April 1st from 9am - 7pm. All the donations will be loaded onto trucks and trailers volunteers from the Lufkin Knights of Columbus Saturday morning April 2nd, and will be delivered to Deweyville High School gymnasium for distribution.

They will be accepting cleaning supplies like - chlorine bleach, pine sol, gloves, buckets, sprayers, sponges, paper towels, toilet paper, ect.  They could also use any school supplies, drinking water, and non-perishable food items.  You could also drop off gift cards for big box stores.  They are not accepting clothes at this time. Share this with your facebook friends and get the people in our neighboring communities the help they need.
