Thousands of Students Attend Texas’ Largest Public High School
I graduated high school in 2017 with about 200 other seniors from the high school in Brownsboro, Texas. Estimating, there were maybe around 800 students at the school altogether.
This seemed like a normal experience for me until I went to college and realized that some of my peers graduated with close to 1,000 people -- meaning there were WAY more at their school if you count grades 9 - 12. On the other end of the spectrum, I also met people who graduated with 20 or fewer peers -- now that's crazy!
I kind of liked attending a smaller school -- I got to know most of my classmates, knew almost every teacher, and still had plenty of extracurricular and academic opportunities.
However, the idea of a larger school where you may not know everyone is a little intriguing...

With that many in the state, it's easy to think numbers in each school would be spread out -- until you consider that some of these schools are in big cities while others are in little towns.
What is Texas' biggest school?
Data from Public School Review shows that The biggest public high school is in Allen Texas -- named Allen High School. And yep, this city is a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The public high school has 5,314 students.
