Texas Cop Hilariously Reads a Goat its Rights After Arrest

Alright, I love a cop with a good sense of humor, and the police officer in the video at the end of this article certainly fits the bill. At least when it comes to run-ins with escaped farm animals. In the city of Little Elm, Texas, a quick run-in between a a cop and a loose goat turned into a viral moment.

Goat Arrest Turns Hilarious When Texas Cop Reads Its Rights

The goat had escaped its pen and wandered onto a road, so the officer stepped in to make sure it didn’t get hurt. After getting the goat out of harm's way and into the back of his cruiser, the officer joked around by “reading it its rights,” just like in a real arrest. His bodycam recorded the whole thing, and you can hear the goat loudly bleating back as if it were arguing.

Obviously, the goat wasn’t actually in trouble. It was returned to its owner soon after, and the Little Elm police said the officer was just having a little fun while handling the situation safely. The goat was not available for comment
