The Texas Lottery has announced the newest Lone Star State millionaire. The lucky winner isn’t just a millionaire, but a multimillionaire, thanks to a scratch-off. You talk about an awesome way to kick off the new year.

Baytown Resident Claims $3 Million Texas Lottery Jackpot

The Baytown resident, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the top prize-winning ticket at Time Maxx #6, located at 6199 Decker Drive, in Baytown, according to a press release. A $30 gamble on a 30X Supreme ticket paid off big time with a jackpot of $3 million.

One $3 Million Scratch-Off Prize Still Unclaimed in Texas

The good news is that there is still one top prize-winning ticket out there. The ticket was the third of four $3 million jackpot tickets in the game. If you have an extra $30 for a ticket, the odds of winning a prize in the game are one in 3.76, including breakeven prizes.

I only started covering lottery winners in about the last four months or so, and I must say I had no idea how often the lottery awarded jackpots. It’s rare that a week goes by without multiple million-dollar winners being announced.

Could You Be the Next Texas Lottery Millionaire?

So, if you’re someone who loves to play the lottery (wisely, of course), maybe you’ll be the next big winner I write about.
