SHREVEPORT, LA – Strong storms roared across Texas and Louisiana on Mother’s Day and these storms caused travel troubles.

The storms are are expected to continue for part of today and that could cause some more canceled or delayed flights.

How Many Flights Were Impacted?

Hundreds of flights in and out of DFW International Airport were canceled or delayed Sunday afternoon. Airport officials say 1,079  flights were delayed, and 259 flights were canceled.

The 11pm Sunday night flight from DFW to Shreveport was canceled. 2 afternoon flights on that same route were also delayed during the peak of the storms.

At Love Field Airport, 237 flights were delayed.

As of 4am this morning, there have been 39 delays and 9 flights canceled.
