Singer Chris Brown Slapped With Second Lawsuit After Alleged Brawl At Texas Show
Chris Brown delighted crowds in Ft. Worth recently but now a SECOND lawsuit filed against him alleges a BRAWL took place backstage at Dickies Arena On July 20th.
The 11:11 Tour stopped through Fort Worth 2 nights and Breezy's performance received rave reviews from the thousands who attended the shows. But its what allegedly happened after the show that's getting all the attention.
Brown, Yella Beezy, CB's entourage lieutenant Sinko Ceej and Live Nation are all facing a lawsuit filed by the 4 alleged victims.
According to a report by TMZ, plaintiffs Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush and Da Marcus Powell, represented by famed Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, filed a lawsuit against the singer and Texas rapper Yella Beezy along with Ceej and Live Nation alleging that Brown ordered his entourage to beat up the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs claim they were invited backstage and escorted there, along with 40 women, for a post-concert hang. After meeting Brown, Charles Bush allegesthat someone in Brown's entourage shouted that Bush and Brown had past beef and that's when Brown ordered them to assault the men.
Bush claims he was surrounded by 7-10 people who punched and kicked him.
The plaintiffs went on to add that Brown sent Yella Beezy and his crew to chase the group of men into a dead-end staircase with a locked door where the fight continued for more than 10 minutes.
All 4 men say they suffered severe injuries and one of them remains in the hospital. They are seeking $50 Million in damages and they've also filed for restraining orders against Chris, Beezy, and Sinko Ceej.
Daryl Washington, Yella Beezy's attorney issued a statement saying that the lawsuit is “frivolous and without merit.” and went on to add that his client was not involved in the alleged altercation.
Brown and the same defendants face another lawsuit, which was also filed Wednesday and also in a Harris County district court.
The plaintiff who filed the second suit is Frederick Overpeck, who works as head of backhouse security for Dickies Arena. He's seeking $15 million for compensatory and punitive damages.
In the lawsuit, Overpeck claims he was working security following Brown’s concert on July 20, when the singer and his entourage began to brutally and severely beat four fans who were attending a VIP meet and greet, according to Overpeck’s lawsuit.
According to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, in an attempt to prevent the assault, Overpeck got between one of the alleged victims and the attackers, but they continued to kick and stomp the man, and in the process, they severely injured the security guard when he claims that one of Brown’s men “launched his 300 plus pound body” on top of one of the victims and Overpeck, before he was dragged off.
Still no word from Chris Brown's camp but Live Nation denied the allegations and agreed to turn over documents and other evidence to the court
