Popular Texas Walmart Snack Now Recalled For Massive Food Hazard
According to this Newsweek article, the J.M. Smucker Company is recalling baked goods due to the risk of consuming plastic that is embedded into Walmart brand Great Value Cheese Danish and Great Value Cinnamon Rolls in the 16.5 oz size packages.
What do I do if I have purchased these recalled Walmart snacks?
First, you should confirm you purchased the recalled product with carry the UPC numbers:
- UPC 078742201160
- UPC 078742201177
Then, you can destroy the items, or return them for a refund. This has been declared a Class 2 recall by the FDA.

What is a Class 2 FDA warning?
That is the agency's way of saying that consuming a product, or being exposed to it can cause medically reversible conditions or temporary harm. Basically, eating food with plastic in it can hurt you, but it should not be life threatening with the exception of vary rare circumstances.
