Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been molding and influencing youth since 1860.  One local kid picked up an award at the Boys & Girls Club's banquet recently and is headed in the right direction!

Welcome back, Katy Perry! Last night (Jan. 27), the starlet made her first public appearance on U.S. soil since her breakup with Russell Brand. Perry looked stunning, donning a short black dress, fierce heels and a shock of electric blue hair that almost perfectly matches her eyes. She even had a cute boy on her arm! Who was the lucky guy?

In the words of Ricky Gervais, “The Golden Globes are to the Oscars like Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton, bit louder, bit drunker, bit trashier, and more easily bought. Allegedly. Nothing’s been proved.” That was pretty much the host’s theme for the entire evening.

The 69th annual Golden Globes were awarded Sunday night, with a kinder, gentler Ricky Gervais at the helm.

Lady Gaga is once again being recognized for her support and kindness towards the LGBTQ community. The “Q” is for “questioning,” in case you weren’t familiar with what it stands for, since it’s newly added to the LGBT tag. Gaga will be honored with the Trevor Hero Award, courtesy of The Trevor Project, on Dec. 4.

Ladies ruled at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement was the big news of the night, Lady Gaga opened the show in style (and in drag) and Katy Perry took home top honors, winning Video of the Year for ‘Firework.’

MTV announced the nominees for the 2011 Video Music Awards on Wednesday night. Katy Perry led the group with nine nods, while stars like Kanye West, Bruno Mars and Adele followed close behind. As expected, 'Mad Men' and 'Modern Family' were among the top series nominated for the 2011 Primetime Emmys, announced early Thursday morning. 'Mad Men' picked up an impressive 19 nominations, the most of any drama series, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Leading Actor (Jon Hamm), Outstanding Leading Actress (Elisabeth Moss) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Christina Hendricks).
