After reading more about the Boys and Girls Club of Deep East Texas, I wish I was a kid again! It sounds like they’re learning some valuable life skills — even how to change a flat tire. That means 9-year olds who hang out at the Boys and Girls Club this summer, will come in handier in a pinch than most adults.

Everyone has to work, but the kids are out of school for almost 3 straight months.  What are you going to do?  Do what I do and take advantage of the Summer Program at the Boys & Girls Club of Lufkin.  For kids who have completed the first grade through eighth grade, this as a great option.

From Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington to the National Youth of the Year winners, clubs across the world know that great futures start within their walls. Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been molding and influencing youth since 1860.  One local kid picked up an award at the Boys & Girls Club's banquet recently and is headed in the right direction!
