The second moon will last through most of November.

This chunk of the moon is on permanent loan from NASA to the museum.

Why is the moon such a big deal? For the first time since 1944 Halloween will boast a big beautiful full moon. Can you say "spooky Halloween"?

It will also be a "Penumbral Lunar Eclipse," which means that full view of the moon will obstructed as it glides through the faint shadow of the Earth.

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, you can check out the “Super Pink Moon”. This moon has a lot going on, so let’s break it down.

It’s called the “super worm moon”, and you can see it on March 9th.

You won't have to look too hard!

It’s been two years since much of the country, including us in East Texas, saw a once in a lifetime show. The Great American Eclipse.

Texas is supposed to have a pretty good view in ten days of the phenomenon known as the super blood wolf moon. Several astronomical events are coming together at one time to make this a rare and pretty incredible sight to see, so don't miss it!

Looking up at the night sky, it's always amazing how big the moon looks at certain times.   Now just imagine that other planets were just as close as the moon in the night sky.
