Since the introduction of the Best Animated Feature Oscar at the 74th Academy Awards in 2002, we’ve seen a steady exponential increase in animated movies over the years. Pixar, and, by extent, Disney, has usually dominated the competition, with eight wins out of ten nominations, followed by DreamWorks and Disney’s animation studio. This year, we have a record 27 movies eligible for the award, and while the Academy can pick only five to nominate, for now it’s anyone’s game.

Sing is the latest in 2016’s lineup of animated talking animal movies, and if these new photos are any indication, this musical might be far more charming than the trailers indicate (using pop songs that already feel dated isn’t helping). The stars of the upcoming film posed with their animated counterparts for a series of new images, while some interesting new names have popped up on the cast list.

I've been known to belt out a little karaoke in my day, but these two are doing it right!  I would hate to follow them up on stage.  I don't usually watch Jay Leno, and luckily he's not in this clip.

Tonight is the night for East Texas Got Talent so we are going to wrap up our videos for the rest of the top 12. This is going to be crazy competition tonight! All of the contestants will take the stage and perform for the judges. They all uploaded YouTube Video’s to the website.

With the NFL labor situation in a state of flux, Cam Newton may have to start thinking about singing for his supper. Or maybe not.
