A huge, state of the art, indoor trampoline park will be opening soon in East Texas. HiJinx features over 12,000 square feet of trampolines and jump related fun features that is sure to be a major hit in kids and adults in the area.
Raise your hand if you love trampolines! We sure do, particularly because they're like an instant way to revisit our inner five-year-old. While trampolines are no doubt fun, they can be hilariously painful, too (see: epic fails). If you think about it, though, the trampoline concept is also straight up confusing. That's why these animals are all, "what the heck, man?!"
Trampolines might seem like a fun way to keep kids entertained and in shape when they are at home. But according to an updated policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) their risks outweigh their benefits.
Trampolines in theory seem like a heckuva lot of fun. Given that they’re typically made of fabric pulled tight by an array of coiled springs, what could possibly go wrong?
Quite a bit, it turns out.
