“I am Groot.” With the exception of one small variation, this is the only thing we hear from Vin Diesel’s Groot throughout Guardians of the Galaxy. What makes this such a funny running joke isn’t the fact that he only says the one phrase, though; it’s the fact that Rocket Raccoon understands him perfectly, unearthing complicated sentiments and emotions from three simple words. Translating Groot’s dialogue would be like un-bleeping the profanity in an episode of South Park: you pretty much already know what Groot is saying, and the jokes just work better this way.

With James Wan not returning to direct the next installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 8 is in desperate need of someone to sit behind the camera before Vin Diesel decides to just do the job himself. But it looks like Universal has narrowed their options down to just a few directors, each of them interesting choices in their own right.

Few would argue that the turning point in the 'Fast and Furious' films is when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson joined the cast in 'Fast Five' as federal agent Luke Hobbs. He brought a breath of fresh air to the 14-year-old franchise, but if things had gone originally as planned, he wouldn't even have been in the movie. 'Fast' producers originally wanted Tommy Lee Jones to star in the film until star Vin Diesel came to them with The Rock. And where did he get that idea? One of his Facebook fans suggested it to him. Here we go! After being teased in seven-second increments earlier this week, we have the first full, official trailer for the newly-titled 'Furious 7,' which wastes absolutely no time getting right into the bonkers action, with a car being parachute-dropped onto the road during one of the crew's missions, and Paul Walker's Brian being rescued from a harrowing episode on the edge of a cliff by Michelle Rodriguez. And that's only a fraction of what we see in this trailer.

Were it not for the untimely and tragic death of Paul Walker, 'Fast and Furious 7' would have been released this past July and probably would be making its way to DVD and Blu-ray within the next few weeks. But, the release date was pushed back to April 3, 2015 and, after some lengthy reshoots, we're finally ready to see the first footage from the film next week.
