Many of the best (and worst) films from the Walt Disney Animation Studios canon can be boiled down into the same kind of storytelling conflict: That of good attempting to triumph over evil. Of course, because it’s Disney, good always wins. But in the best Disney animated films, it is a struggle because the heroes come against some truly terrifying and downright nasty villains.
