Over the past weekend I got out ACTUAL popcorn kernels and popped them in a pot. I even tried my hand at kettle corn. It was an edible failure. I thought it was okay, but no one else would touch it.

I remember back in the day we used to have an air popper. It was pretty neat, just put in the kernels and let it go. This was back in the late 80's. I even recall it having a place for the butter. I think I like air popped better because you don't get that burned piece at the bottom. But microwave popcorn is just so convenient!
