Now that Christmas is over, it's probably time to take down the tree. For most of us anyway. One percent of the population leaves the tree up all year! You know who you are.
How long is too long? Most people take down the tree by early January, and some of us ripped it down as soon as the last present was passed out.

We'll share more information once we know deals and hours for local businesses. If you've already got the scoop, send us a note!

I'm glad I went to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Lufkin on Saturday. The 9th annual event was full of traditional pomp and circumstance, but rightfully so, with the emphasis on those who served and are currently serving our country.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade always has impressive floats, interesting performances from pop music and broadway, and it’s a huge tourist draw for New York City.
One East Texas cheerleader is on her way! We’ll watch for her on NBC next Thursday morning.
