The boy who lived may just keep livin' on in perpetuity.

Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter's titular teen wizard across eight films from 2001 from 2011, told the Radio Times he'd consider revisiting the role — not immediately, but maybe somewhere down the line. SON OF A BANSHEE!!!

"It would depend on the script,” he said. “The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there! So I am saying, ‘No,’ for now but leaving room to backtrack in the future."

And Radcliffe's not in a rush to see new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, either. He told Stephen Colbert earlier this month that he's heard great things about the production, which will premiere in London in July, but that he doesn't want the experience to be too distracting for anyone.

"I want to see the show," he said. "I genuinely am intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic. But I just feel like sitting in an audience of what will for the most of the near future be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be like not a relaxing way to see a show."

Radcliffe's new interview comes the very same day J.K. Rowling, who wrote the stories behind the Harry Potter films, released a brand new fable that chronicles the history of a new American school for witches and wizards called Ilvermorny. The institution was founded in Massachusetts in the 17th century by a runaway Irish witch named Isolt Sayre, who ultimately divided Ilvermorny into four houses: Wampus, Horned Serpent, Pukwudgie and Thunderbird, which attract warriors, scholars, healers and adventurers, respectively. Fans can get sorted here.
