Jesse James and Kat Von D Engaged

If you are like me and watched L.A. Ink and Monster Garage you know all about these two.  I think they would both be very interesting in person.  I am sure together they would compete for coolest person in the room.   Now of course Jesse James lost a million points with the way he treated Sandy, but we have no idea how that really all went down.   I always thought Jesse and Sandra were a very odd couple.  Now these two I could see together.  DP

JESSE JAMES, SANDRA BULLOCK's former husband, is now engaged to tattoo artist KAT VON D, People magazine reports.  In a statement to People, James says, "You know, sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs."

James adds, "I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a bleepin' blast!"

James and Von D have been dating since last summer -- his divorce from Bullock was finalized last June.  Their marriage initially collapsed when it came to light in March of 2010 that James had cheated on Bullock with several women.  He issued a statement of apology to Bullock, and entered rehab March 30th to "save his marriage."  She filed for divorce in April.
