Nick Cannon wound up taking an unexpected trip to the hospital today (July 22), and while he didn't disclose the reasoning behind the visit, he did post a selfie from his bed to let fans know he's okay.

Although the photo shows Nick lying in a hospital bed, his caption manages to stay optimistic. He compares himself to Batman while alluding to exhaustion as his main ailment, although he never explicitly states it.

He wrote, "Dont worry, Temporary pit stop... Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground. I be wanting to grind nonstop but the engine can't run on fumes. On the low though, I really think I'm a super hero... Now I'm not saying I'm Batman, but I am saying nobody has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together. LOL #ImGood."

Nick has been public about his health battle with the autoimmune disease, lupus, though it's unknown as to whether his illness has anything to do with his current hospital visit. Back in 2014, he opened up to The Huffington Post, saying the disease only drives him to further succeed.

He said, "It actually drives me. It was one of those things where, even when I first got sick, I told them to turn the cameras on. I created the NCredible Health Hustle and I wanted to document this process because I wanted to inspire others that may be dealing with this condition or a similar condition. To say, you don't have to let it stop you."
