I finally just flung on my walking shoes, grabbed my ear buds, and out the door I went. It took about seven minutes before I started to feel my mood lighten.
I've noticed that the times I'm focusing on getting a bit of exercise and eating a primarily healthful diet, my mood and mental state seem greatly improved.
Exercise improves your physicality, yes. But also lowers anxiety and boosts your "feel good" hormones, too! We need that--especially during quarantine.
