While last night's Golden Globes were filled with laughs, tears and death stares -- the latter courtesy of Tommy Lee Jones -- a memorable moment came from presenters Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell. The improv duo appeared to take the stage with little to no script, riffing off one another while announcing the nominees for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.
Comedienne duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler tag teamed the 2013 Golden Globes and all we can say is -- thank God, Ricky Gervais didn't get the gig. Poehler warned us in the latest issue of EW that she was planning on making Daniel Day-Lewis cry, but her and her co-host almost made us tear up with their bits on Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Kathryn Bigelow, to name a few.
If you were somehow dosing off during the 2013 Golden Globes opening monologue or not watching the ceremony at all, you can now watch it in full after the break.
In the words of Ricky Gervais, “The Golden Globes are to the Oscars like Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton, bit louder, bit drunker, bit trashier, and more easily bought. Allegedly. Nothing’s been proved.” That was pretty much the host’s theme for the entire evening.
The 69th annual Golden Globes were awarded Sunday night, with a kinder, gentler Ricky Gervais at the helm.
Well it is no secret that I love award shows. I think that is why I love American Idol, it's like one long award show. The Golden Globes are upon us, and we are going to get introduced to a bunch of non-mainstream movies that we should watch, or in my case just see the promos for during the show
The Golden Globe nominees have been announced! Some of my favorites got nods this year, which is always cool to see. Showtime's Homeland and Episodes, the UK import Downton Abbey (you absolutely must see it!), and Bridesmaids. Check out the full list after the jump.
No one's been talking about Sandra Bullock or how amazing she looked at the Golden Globes! Sandy, as I like to call her, was sporting fabulous bangs and a pale pink dress that someone bedazzled. The dress was lighty and flowy, and she was wearing very chunky, very sparkly bracelets on one wrist
Like the cooler best friend of the Oscars, the Golden Globes usually turn out to be a bit more sassy. Sure, lots of honors and speeches happen during the telecast (some award winners are listed below) but really, most people just want to check out the red carpet. Right? Here are some highlights! Who was the best dressed celebrity? Who's attire was your least favorite?
