Josh Brolin is the type of guy who’s not easily persuaded. If you invite him to brunch and he doesn’t want to go, just drop it. If you offer him a Coke when he says he’s not thirsty, just walk away, the man isn’t thirsty! And if you want him to star in your sequel about blue aliens and he turns you down, rest your case. You’re not going to change his mind, even if you’re James Cameron.

It’s a rare thing in Hollywood for a sequel to come close to, or even end up being better than, the original, but James Cameron effortlessly managed that feat with 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The film sees Arnold Schwarzenegger return as the sinister Terminator android, but this time around his intentions are much more heroic. If you’ve been itching to watch this movie on the big screen in as immersive an experience as possible, Cameron and co. have cooked up a re-release of the movie in his new favorite medium: 3-D.

Why is it that James Cameron’s updates about progress on his colossal plotted Avatar franchise always kind of sound like threats? In a brash nose-thumbing to the concept of economic bubbles, James Cameron went all in on his Avatar franchise gambit and decided to produce the next four films in the planned pentalogy concurrently...

James Cameron Disagrees with ‘Mythbusters,’ Defends the ‘Titanic’ Ending
It’s a debate as old as time. Or at least as old as James Cameron’s Titanic, which came out in 1997, so not that old, but still. “They both could have fit on that door!” is the rallying cry of Titanic truthers, who believe that the door (which isn’t actually a door (it’s ajar! just kidding)) that Rose (Kate Winslet) floats on while Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) freezes to death in the subzero waters of the North Atlantic was big enough to hold both of them. Mythbusters even dedicated an episode to it. But Cameron himself is still holding fast to the movie’s original ending, much like Jack’s hands after they froze.

James Cameron Wants ‘Avatar’ Sequels to Run at Higher Frame Rates, Escape Reality
It was just this past April that blockbuster alchemist James Cameron made the promise/threat of four sequels to his massively lucrative sci-fi fantasy Avatar. Having apparently calculated “eight years or so” as the optimal amount of time to let Avatar fever percolate before reaching a boiling point, the filmmaker hinted at plans for his follow-up(s) while accepting his honorary membership into the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers on Friday night. Indiewire reports that while entering an elite group of industry professionals devoted to expanding the technological reach of film, Cameron stated his intentions to bring Avatar even further into the future with groundbreaking techniques and equipment.

James Cameron has been toying around with a Terminator 2: Judgement Day 3D release for some time-- last year he announced that he was working on it, and that it would arrive in theaters around the time of the film’s 25th anniversary. Seeing as that deadline’s come and gone, it looked like a remaster was not to be. Fortunately, according to Collider, Cameron is still working on it, as announced on the Terminator 2 official Facebook page yesterday with a cool new poster:

Another day, another Hollywood lawsuit. TMZ reports that director James Cameron, his production company, and 20th Century Fox are being sued for stealing the idea for the hit movie ‘Avatar,’ the number one film of all-time. A screenwriter claims that Cameron stole the idea from two different screenplays he wrote and wants $2.5 billion. That’s right, it’s BILLION, with a “B.”
