Earlier today, I found out that a reverse parade is also what will be taking place in Nacogdoches.

There's a special event coming up next week at Timberwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Livingston.

This pickle festival has pickle lovers from all over flocking to the Dallas Fort-Worth area, clearly, it's a pretty big dill.

East Texas city streets are being decked out with holiday decorations just in time for the big parade and to welcome Santa to town!

The 2016 Christmas Parade has come and gone. We kicked off the Christmas season right with our annual tradition, and here's some pictures from the celebration.

It's a lot of work putting up Christmas decorations and lights, and we've got the chance tonight to take a break from our own tangled cords and missing bulbs to appreciate the work of some other talented folks. The Lufkin Christmas Parade is happening tonight, and we've got all the info.

The City of Lufkin, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1836, and the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau are proud to host the Pineywoods Veterans Celebration on November 5th, with a parade beginning at 10 A.M. in downtown Lufkin.

Rather than spend Thanksgiving weekend at home eating too much and stringing up Christmas lights, maybe a road trip to one of these fun Texas events would be a better idea.  And we can still eat too much. Yay!

I'm glad I went to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Lufkin on Saturday.  The 9th annual event was full of traditional pomp and circumstance, but rightfully so, with the emphasis on those who served and are currently serving our country.

I had a great time seeing everyone yesterday in the Main Street Lufkin Lighted Christmas Parade downtown Lufkin last night. My arm is still sore from all that waving! I was upset that I missed seeing the winning float from HEB. It reminded me of the giant Grocery Cart in the opening credits of the first Jackass movie...
