Adele to Undergo Throat Surgery; All 2011 Appearances Canceled

The news just gets worse and worse for Adele. After canceling her U.S. tour due to vocal problems, the singer must now have surgery and has canceled all her remaining UK dates, as well as every promotional appearance for the rest of 2011.

This apparently means that Adele won't appear at any major music events between now and December 31.  That includes the American Music Awards.  She is set to win a lot of them.  It's so boring when someone accepts an award on behalf of someone else or does it via satellite.  No New Year's Eve TV specials either,  or  Grammy Nominations TV special, where she's expected to scoop the lion's share of the nominations.
