This is an annual benefit for the Museum of East Texas. This one is coming up on September 22nd in the North Galleries. The best part about it is that patrons are invited to BYOB, drink mixers will be provided. Just don't bring any red wine, we wouldn't want to stain any of the priceless museum pieces. They sent out a press release today, take a look, see if it's something you would be interested in attending.

— The Museum of East Texas Invites You to Dinner and Dancing Under the Stars

LUFKIN: On behalf of Julianne Greak and Jennifer Webster, co-chairs of “Dinner and Dancing Under the Stars,” the Museum of East Texas cordially invites you to attend this annual event benefiting the museum from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 in the north galleries. No red wine, please. Party casual attire is encouraged and dancing shoes are a must.According to Julianne Greak, “Dinner and Dancing Under the Stars will be decorated with a Mardi Gras theme. The tables will be adorned with colorful Mardi Gras colors. Centerpieces will be the focal point of the evening with glass Eiffel Tower vases embellished with lustrous green, purple and yellow feathers. Beads and masks will be added to give the centerpiece that extra touch.” Amazing floral arrangements will be provided by Donna Dorman of Donna’s florist.Generous friends of the museum have donated art, jewelry, parties for children and for adults, fabulous trips, wind and spirits, a cocktail party for 30 to be held in the splendor of the Museum Guild’s Festival of Trees, donated by the board of trustees and executive director, and many other items for the live and silent auctions.

I wonder if that was supposed to be "Wine And Spirits" I don't want to win anyone's wind. Sounds like an interesting night at the museum. I'll be listening to the scanner.

Ticket prices are $40 a person or $75 for a couple. These are non-reserved seat prices. Reserved seating is $200 per couple or a table of 8 can be purchased for $750.
