Whataburger is a Texas institution. Even celebs like Selena Gomez name it as a favorite. (She gets a #13 with a side of gravy, by the way.) The company is known for giving back, and the locations you and I frequent are no different.

On Thursday, March 31st, visit the Nacogdoches Whataburger from 5-8p and they’ll donate 25% of sales to SFA sorority Sigma Kappa Omega, a member of the Independent Greek Council. SKO has been around since 2001, offering a diverse, cost-effective alternative Greek option that makes sorority life a possibility for women who otherwise would be left out. SKO member Candise Stewart was recently named Miss Greek, showing the huge strides made by the sorority in their 15 years at SFA.

With dues that are about 20% of what’s required by other social sororities, fundraising is a regular part of life for the sisters of Sigma Kappa Omega. That makes for a perfect relationship between the Sigma Sweethearts and Whataburger!

Dine in or drive thru on Thursday evening and you’ll get dinner with a side of good works in the form of donation for the SKO sisterhood retreat. For sorority sisters who don’t have a shared house, that weekend away is a key time for bonding and relaxing. When the trip is done, it’s back to business as usual with study sessions, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association, and everything else that comes along with being a part of an independent organization.
