“Little Panther Day” just got finished this evening at Abe Martin Stadium. This event put on every year by the Lufkin Panther Mothers Club. It is a chance for young boys to come and play a game on 2 hand touch football on “Outlaw Field” plus they all got a Panther T-shirt and a meal is served and they got to meet the Coach Quick, the new head Coach of the Lufkin Panthers Football team.  Plus they also got a taste of some one on one “coaching” from several of the varsity players.  The event proceeds went to the Mother’s Club and all the money raised benefits the Lufkin Football Team.

The money is used for extra expenses while on the road that many of us don't think about like -- meals on trips, decorations homecoming, and many items that the team may need throughout the season.

The kids had a great time even in the sweltering heat as you can tell by the pictures!
