In some parts of the country snow is just a fact of life. Freezing cold, iced over windshields, and all the negative things that go with it. But in the deep south some kids have never seen snow.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta  teamed up with a special effects company to make it snow at their facility.  Some of the kids being treated got to feel the wonder of a snowstorm, even though they’re usually stuck inside.

Jim Fortenberry, the hospital’s pediatrician-in-chief, said, “It’s a tough time to be in the hospital during the holidays and we just thought it’d be great to try to add a little magic and excitement to our kids’ day here.”

It was definitely a wonderful surprise for the kids and one Santa will have to work really hard to top.
