Got a chance this Sunday to take my son to see the Lego Movie. It was really fast moving, action packed romp, though Lego worlds.

Few things scream "cash grab" as loudly as a movie about a popular children's toy, as these productions rely highly on the brand recognition of children and nostalgia of adults. Making a good movie inspired by pre-existing playthings is such a rare thing that it almost seems impossible. Thankfully, Phil Lord and Chris Miller -- the directing duo behind the charming 'Cloudy With a Chance

My son asks for Legos every year. There is always some new set or something out there that he wants. Lego is pretty amazing, and it was one of my favorite toys as a kid.

Twenty-five seasons on the air, we'd imagine 'The Simpsons' to have covered just about everything under and shielded from the sun, but it seems our favorite Springfield family has at least one new animation style to boldly go: LEGO! Along with the recent announcement of 'Simpsons'-themed LEGO products, it seems the series itself will get the brick and block treatment in 2014!

Both parents and kids rejoice! The trailer is here for The Lego Movie! They promising it'll be the best movie ever assembled. When I first saw it pop up on YouTube, I thought it was a joke. I've always enjoyed the Lego shorts...

When I was a kid I loved playing with Legos and now my son enjoys playing with them as well.  As I type this I remember the smell and the days of fun that I had building with them.  Now this guy has taken it to the next level with creating his own Lego band, using the Bionical Toa Mata figures...

Well, this is basically the perfect recipe for tears. A young boy with Asperger's Syndrome who plays with LEGOs to improve his social skills had a dilemma. He saved all of his money for two years to buy a LEGO train set, but by the time he had enough money, it was discontinued...

The United States beat everyone in the world in the space race.  First manned flight, first man on the moon.  I mean Russia got the first satellite up, but Sputnik was little more than a tin sphere. Looks like Canada is catching up with us by sending their first man into space.

When i was a kid there were boys toys and girl toys.  The line was very specific, but now if you have a girl you can still get on floor and build a Lego house with her.  Now this new line of toys is of course already getting flack because of the negative body image that the super skinny tiny "brat" doll look of the toy...
