  • Shopping in person making a comeback

  • New ideas from Toys"R"Us

Gone are the days when every small Texas town had a Toys"R"Us location. They were inside malls and operated many stand-alone stores, even in towns with less than 30K people around the state.

Toys"R"Us filed for bankruptcy back in 2017 and it was a great move, though they didn't know it at the time. They dipped out on the global pandemic and have used the time wisely.

Where Are The New Toys"R"Us Stores Coming To Texas?

There is something about shopping for toys in person. It's just not the same as from a catalog or online. For more than 70 years Toys"R"Us has been the place to get those toys.

The beloved childhood mecca is in the middle of a rebirth, and this time they are doing things a bit differently. They started reopening in 2021, first at the American Dream Mall. Then in 2022 more than 400 Toys"R"Us shops opened inside of Macy's.

Now according to parent company WHP Global they are going to open up stores in airports and onboard cruise ships. The first one is coming to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in early November 2023.

The store will be in Terminal A just in time for the busy Christmas shopping season. It is perfectly timed to grab a gift for the children in your life on the way back home for the holidays.

The Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us brands can still be found in over 1,350 branded stores, and they have eCommerce sites in 25+ countries across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.
