After being threatened with cancellation thanks to a vote by a Miami city council this morning (April 11), Rolling Loud 2017 is officially on. The festival's Twitter account used a Periscope session to make the announcement today (April 11), writing "VICTORY" in the post.

"Today was a great day for hip-hop and for the culture," Rolling Loud Festival co-founder Tariq Cherif said in a statement to XXL. "Rolling Loud Festival is proceeding as planned at Bayfront Park in Miami, FL on May 5-7. I'd like to thank the City of Miami, Bayfront Park Management Trust, our team, our lawyers, the artists, managers, booking agents, and most of all, the fans! Tickets are almost sold out so get yours while you still can!"

Just two days ago, this year's Rolling Loud Festival appeared to be in great jeopardy when Bayfront Park Management Trust chairman Frank Carollo called for a vote after learning Rolling Loud hadn't been approved by himself or the board. The results were a unanimous 9-0 vote in favor of having the festival, and now the 2017 Rolling Loud Festival lives on.

This year's event will be rap fans dream, as people like Kendrick Lamar, Future, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert and 21 Savage are all set to take the stage at the 2017 iteration of the event. You can cop yourself a ticket to the superstar-fueled extravaganza here.
