Texas First: Futuristic 3D-Printed Starbucks Opens
I recently had a chance to visit the first Starbucks in Seattle, Washington. There was a line out the door of people trying to get a cup of joe from the location that started a worldwide coffee phenomenon.
Now, another first for Starbucks will soon happen in Texas. According to NRN.com, the first Starbucks made completely of 3D-printed materials is opening in Brownsville, Texas.

According to the City of Brownsville's Instagram, the new Starbucks location will be a pick-up only store with a drive-thru. The 1,400 square foot building's shell was 3D printed on-site.
New 3D-Printed Starbucks Is A First For Texas
Not only is the location a first for Starbucks, but it is also a first for the City of Brownsville. Austin has had many structures made with 3D concrete printing, but for this city on the border and by the sea, it is a large milestone, and a glimpse into the future of construction.

The structure is located at 2491 Boca Chica Blvd. Construction started in December and will be open on Monday, April 28, 2025. Starbucks confirmed it is their first 3D-printed location with PERI 3D Construction, headquartered in Germany.
The new technology cuts costs and labor on many kinds of building projects. Soon we will be able to get our favorite coffee out of a futuristic building on the border in Brownsville.
