The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department would like to thank the Texas Department of Public Safety Helicopter team. They provided this aerial view of the storm damage on Wednesday.

The video and photos will go a long way in helping the U.S. National Weather Service assess the situation. That will help officials get assistance for the cleanup and restoration efforts to come.

Today the National Weather Service is on the ground surveying conditions in Nacogdoches County. This will give everyone a clear understanding of the path and severity of the tornado.
