This is a great time to stock up on reading material. The Friends of the Kurth Memorial Library are inviting all book lovers to their 2019 Fall Book Sale. This is a readers gold mine. There will be many thousands of books to rummage through.

The sale is this Thursday (October 24th) from 9am - 5:30pm, Friday (October 25th) from 9am - 5pm, and Saturday (October 26th) from 9am - 5pm. The Kurth Memorial Library is next to Pineywoods Academy at 706 South Raguet Street, in Lufkin. All the proceeds of the sale will go back to the Library for new books, equipment, or services.

Fall book sale

Everyone can get a large brown grocery bag, and stuff it, for only $3 per bag. That price can't be beat. If you have young people in your family, this would be a great way to teach them the joy, entertainment value, and educational properties of books. You might never run out of something to read. Bags will be provided by the Friends group. No library card or friends membership required.

This promises to be their biggest Fall book sale yet. So make a plan of attack on the racks and see how much you can stuff in your bag. They are encouraging you to stuff it to the brim, all the while, helping the library as you stock up on reading material.
