New Temporary Custody Agreement Orders Angelina Jolie to Give Brad Pitt More Time With Kids
The Brangelina divorce has not been a pretty one, but it looks like Brad Pitt is going to be able to see his kids more now, at least for a little while.
Entertainment Tonight recently obtained court documents issuing Angelina Jolie to give her ex more time with their five underage kids (Maddox, 16, can independently decide the amount of time he wishes to spend with his father) after a judge determined the kids "not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them."
Additionally, the documents made clear there will be consequences for Jolie if she doesn't obey, stating: "If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt]."
The documents also state each minor child (14-year-old Pax, 13-year-old Zahara, 12-year-old Shiloh and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne) needs to be provided with a personal cell phone number so Pitt can text them freely, without Jolie's monitoring.
The 54-year-old actor will get custody of the kids June 8-17 for four hours a day while he stays in London—where Jolie currently rents a house. One or two children can be with him at a time. Pitt also gets custody for 10 hours a day from June 27 through July 1, and from July 8-14. A child therapist will be with the children, and will meet with the kids before and after each two-day period.
When Pitt is back in California, he'll get custody of the kids from July 21 through July 29. During his time with the children, Jolie is not allowed to be there or interfere in any way. She's allowed to call once a day, at a time she and Pitt agree upon in advance.
The 43-year-old actress' spokesperson is saying the "misleading leak" of these court docs "is not in the best interests of the children," however, stressing the importance of these hearings being kept private.
"From the start, Angelina has been focused on their health and needs, which is why it was so important that this last court hearing be conducted privately," the spokesperson explains. "It's deplorable that someone for their own selfish reasons leaked selective portions of the confidential and sealed court record to create an inaccurate and unfair picture of what is really happening."
