This NSFW Trailer for CBS’ ‘The Good Wife’ Spinoff Is … Kind of Incredible?
We weren’t entirely certain what to expect when CBS started moving original series launches to its All-Access streaming platform, but if this first look at CBS’ The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight is any indication, Star Trek: Discovery is going to be in good hands. See the NSFW first The Good Fight trailer for yourself!
The Good Fight picks up with Christine Baranski’s character Diane Lockhart one year after the events of the original series, and stars such familiar faces as Game of Thrones alum Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Justified star Erica Tazel, Justin Bartha, Sarah Steele and more. The show’s TCA press tour panel also noted that past Good Wife stars Matthew Perry, Rita Wilson, Jane Alexander, Denis O’Hare, and John Benjamin Hickey will resurface over the 10 episodes, while the full synopsis reads:
THE GOOD FIGHT picks up one year after the events of the final episode of “The Good Wife.” In the new series, an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia Rindell, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart’s savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago’s preeminent law firms. The series, from “The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King, stars Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele, Justin Bartha, Erica Tazel, Paul Guilfoyle and Bernadette Peters.
CBS will debut the series both on All-Access and CBS proper Sunday, February 19, while two episodes will be available on the streaming platform. It’s an impressively cinematic (and adult) look at the series, and even if you’ve never watched a single episode of The Good Wife, count us in.
