As if the regular flu season wasn't scary enough, this year we've had norovirus outbreak in Louisiana and the novel Coronavirus spreading across the globe!

Currently, more than 600 people that were possibly exposed to the Coronavirus are being held in quarantine at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.  They have been there since February 7th.

Although more than 190 people were just released from the lockdown in place to contain the spread of the disease, not everyone is in the clear.  According to the Corsicana Daily Sun, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) has now confirmed that one person currently being held in quarantine has contracted the Coronavirus.  This brings the total number of cases in the U.S. to 15.

According to the CDC's website on the Coronavirus: "reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death." Symptoms can include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
